“Parting of the Minds” expresses artistic insights into the essence of the human experience in a variety of ways, from calm images of contemplation to vivid representations of psychological upheaval.

This exhibition at Project Space Plus, Lincoln offers a captivating investigation into the complex fields of medicine, psychology, and the human mind, created by first-year fine art students at the University of Lincoln. This show explores themes of fragmentation, separation, and altered states of consciousness while offering a moving meditation on the intricacies of the mind. You can expect to encounter something banana related, a lobotomy piece, a JFK assassination inspired film-painting and a long-legged crow.

The artists offer a window into the inner workings of the human condition and invite viewers to consider the fine line that separates order from chaos. Traversing a range of media, not only does “Parting of the Minds” display artistic ability, but it also acts as a stimulus for reflection and self-discovery. It serves as evidence of the transformational potential of art in revealing the mysteries of the human mind.

A 1940's type black and white poster showcasing the date, time and location of the event. It appears to have individuals in gas masks in the poster, however its somewhat Kafkaesque design leads to some intrigue for the viewer.
